Easy Peasy Free Quilt Patterns Analysis
The Pros and Cons of the 3 Free Quilt Patterns
Hello Quilters,
I hope you are enjoying this series of easy peasy quilts. It was a pleasure for me to create these free quilt patterns and share them with you. As we conclude this series I thought it would be fun to share some thoughts on the quilts and the making process.
Which free quilt pattern was your favorite?
I would have to say the “Stars All Day Long” is my favorite free quilt pattern because I just love a quilt with stars. I don’t know what it is about stars but they make me swoon with joy!
Tell me about your favorite in the comments.
Which free quilt pattern is the easiest?
They are all easy and beginner friendly! But the fastest and the most simple quilt to make is “Sweet Spins”. It goes together insanely fast. In fact, a baby size quilt top can be made in one weekend.
What are my thoughts about the other free quilt pattern?
I really think the free quilt pattern, “Square Dance”, is an elegant type of quilt. The simplicity of the squares is really appealing to me. When making the twin size, it took longer than I would have liked. But, longer time doesn’t mean it is more complicated! Not at all. In fact, it is super easy to assemble. It only took longer because:
1) I made the twins size and the bigger the quilt, the more there is to do.
2) there are more pieces for the pattern. (large square, small squares, sashing…)
Would I make all these quilts again?
Absolutely!! In fact, I just made another Sweet Spins over the weekend. No exaggeration. I started on Friday cutting the fabric. Then I sewed for a few hours on Saturday and again on Sunday. It was done before I could say “Free Quilt Pattern.” Haha!
Let me know if you are thinking of trying one of these quilts. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
Wishing you a week full of gioia! (pronounced joy-ya. Gioia means Joy in Italian.)
All the best from Rome,
Rachel
